County Treasurers' Association of Texas
Welcome, County Treasurers and friends, to the County Treasurers’ Association of Texas website. I am honored to serve as the President of this amazing Association this year.
The objectives of CTAT are to exchange ideas; to advance and maintain a proper standard of efficiency; and further, to achieve legislation for the general interest and advancement of the Association as a whole.
We are committed to the mentoring and t
raining of our membership through New Treasurers Orientation, regional meetings, an annual education seminar and conferences. Please do not hesitate to reach out to any member of the CTAT Executive Board if there is a place where we can offer assistance or guidance.
The theme for this year is “Inspire Trust.” Trust is the firm belief in the reliability of someone or something. The elements of trust are consistency, compassion, communication, and competency. Each is necessary, while none of them are enough on their own. To inspire is to move someone to act or feel emotions. As elected officials, our behavior should move people to a firm belief in our reliability, in other words, our actions should “Inspire Trust”.
